The upcoming order of NBA draft lotto selections coming up May 16 has all contenders for the number one pick holding their collective breaths. Included with these are the Portland trail blazers who, like all of the contenders, are drooling at the prospects of getting the “BIG Frenchman”.
Numerological odds line up in many ways to suggest the Blazers will improve their chances in this drawing! Some of these have already been discussed in the previous posting. I have frequently pointed out the importance of the number seven (7) in Portland history. For a quick review click here.
Here it comes again. Brandon Roy will be on site to represent the blazers. You will recall he was there in 2007 when they beat the 6th pick odds to get the number 1! Will lightning strike twice? Brandon Roy comes out 20=2, 34=7 and 50=5. The lotto draw is being held in Chicago at 16=7, 21=3 37=1. The drawing is on the May 16. The16=7 combination often augers a surprise ending. Will the blazers be THE surprise at that ending?
This writer says once again that so many numerological indicators point to good luck for the Blazers! There is always the flip side, and in this case if things go really wrong one has to think that they may be under a curse.
(Follow Up 5/16/23) I looked at Wem’s numbers just before the lotto placement drawing and actually briefly posted that he would go to the Blazers! All the numbers lined up. Missed by two placements!
Meanwhile, the numbers do not line up well for him at San Antonio. It looks like a rocky and sometimes turbulent road there, and he could be (gasp) traded prematurely out of SA over the years. Well, maybe it’s just sour grapes seeing the Blazers miss. Time has a way of telling.
