Nearly 50 years ago my then wife’s father had access to a betting establishment and I would occasionally bet on college football games using the numbers. I did quite well at the time averaging around 5 hits out of seven attempts. It was kind of fun at the time, but I did not take gambling too seriouasly
I do not encourage gambling having seen the effect upon families where there has been a compulsive gambler (including my own). And to this day I post my picks for fun and to demonstrate that there is something to the art of numbers (although after last year’s results that might no be convincing!).
Please note: I have posted all of the bowl games since viewers tent to want to see the whole package. Not all of the games are pure picks. If I were betting on the games, there are many that, in gambling terms, I would ‘lay off”. For some picks I have stretched the numerical influence to or beyond the limit.
