Numerology Buyer Beware

I came across link some time ago that used my name to direct the viewer to another website offering their own software as if I was connected to them.

The link was >>> http://numerologytest.net/lynn-buess-numerology/ <<<< with a header saying something like Lynn Buess wisdom in numbers, etc.

This link sent the viewer to Numerologist.com which then offered software as if it was mine or that I was connected to it. I AM NOT in any way affiliated with Numerologist.com and DO NOT approve of this kind of misdirection and deception. It is surely unethical and most likely illegal.

I tried numerous times to contact Numerologytest.net and Numerologist.com regarding this issue. I have not gotten any response from either.

Further investigation proved that they were doing this with numerous other names of numerology practitioners and their published works. I finally had a computer engineer investigate the issue. He was able to technically identify the form of misdirection. He could not contact Numerologytest.net directly since they hide the ownership behind a privacy company that will not reveal the owners name.

He finally contacted the protecting company with an abuse complaint and Numerologytest.net is for now off of the internet as of this writing. The association between Numerologist.com and Numerologytest.net is not yet clear, and they will not answer any of my calls or emails. The owner of Numerologist.com has been associated with another person to similar unethical practices. See this link>>>

There are many other numerologists who have been exploited by this misdirection. It is difficult to know how many and how extensive the potential loss of their business might have been as a result of this tactic.

It is sad that people resort to such tactics to increase business. If it is necessary to use misdirection and deception to get customers, it raises the question as to the quality of what you will receive when you get there.  It is a lesson that adds to the old adage, buyer beware.

Note: There are two new misdirects that attempt to look like Numerology Rising, but sends the viewer to the above mentioned website. Be aware of this misleading form of advertising and realize it is not my work, nor does it have anything to do with my work. You may want to let them know that you do not approve of this sort of deception. Buyer Beware!
